About This Experience

Learn to work with one of the Amazon's most sacred indigenous medicines for your personal practice.

Sean McAllister will teach you the art of self-serving hapé using a kuripe — a personal V-shaped pipe used to self-administer.

You'll learn proper technique, intention setting, and how to work with this medicine safely and respectfully on your own. Bring your own kuripe or purchase one here.

We'll open with prayer and cultural and historical context on hapé's traditional roots before moving into the practice itself.

What is hapé?

Hapé (ha-PAY) is a nonpsychoactive sacred snuff used by indigenous Amazonian tribes for thousands of years. Made from powdered herbs, tobacco, and ash, it is used ceremonially for grounding, meditation, spiritual clarity, and opening the third eye. Every blend carries its own medicine and your experience will be your own.

Your Instructor — Sean McAllister

Sean McAllister has been on a spiritual path for over 30 years, beginning with Buddhist meditation and mindfulness practices before immersing himself in plant medicine nearly a decade ago. Having participated in over 100 ceremonies with traditions across the Amazon — including the Shipibo, Yawanawa, Ashininca, Tukano, Omagua-Kembebe, Shawanawa, and Colombian Taitas — Sean brings deep reverence and experience to everything he teaches.

This is your invitation to build a personal relationship with a medicine that has been used for thousands of years.
