Religious Freedom & Ayahuasca
The practice of sacred plant medicine at S♡SH is protected under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), a federal law enacted in 1993 to safeguard the rights of individuals and spiritual communities to honor their sincerely held religious beliefs. RFRA ensures that the government may not substantially burden religious practices—including sacramental use of Ayahuasca—without demonstrating a compelling interest and applying the least restrictive means.
This protection affirms our right to engage with Ayahuasca as a central element of our spiritual path, allowing us to gather in ceremony and communion in accordance with our deeply rooted beliefs. At S♡SH, we hold this legal recognition with utmost responsibility and respect, creating a container of spiritual authenticity and lawful integrity.
